This is my review of a the Qantas Business Lounge in Singapore Changi Airport.
The Qantas Business lounge is an excellent lounge and a place I would get to early before a flight so I could enjoy the lounge. It is extremely spacious with almost endless seating options with a staffed bar serving excellent drinks and an incredible food selection.
With up to 10 flights per day from Singapore, the Qantas lounge can get busy at peak times despite the size but it is still well worth the visit.
I visited the Qantas business lounge as part of a lounge hop around Singapore Changi airport after I had spent a few days in Singapore. You can see reviews of the other lounges I visited and the flight I took to London below.
Where is it
The lounge is in Terminal 1 of Singapore Changi airport.
Once through passport control, you will see signs that point left for the lounges. After a short walk, go up the escalators on the right and then back on yourself to the lounge.
The lounge is open at 2.30pm and closes at (I believe) 11pm. (Note that the opening times of the lounge can change and has changed since I visited so it is best to check on the Qantas website here)
I arrived just after 3pm and it was basically empty but then got very busy just after 5pm when I presume a Qantas flight landed that passengers would then be connecting onto another flight.

Entry Requirements
I managed to enter this lounge as I was flying business class with British Airways but I also could have entered due to my oneworld Sapphire membership.
Any business or first class ticket on any oneworld airline will grant access, as will anyone holding oneworld Sapphire or Emerald membership also flying on a oneworld flight later that day.
There are also rules for Emirates flyers to use the lounge if they are departing from Singapore with those holding Emirates Platinum or Gold Skywards status allowed in the lounge when flying in any cabin class. There are also some niche carve outs for Air France and Jetstar flyers that are able to use the lounge as well.
Note that there is also a Qantas First Lounge at the other end of the terminal for those travelling in first class or oneworld Emerald.
The lounge does not accept Priority Pass and Dragon Pass holders.

Facilities in the Qantas Business Lounge, Singapore Changi
As you walk in, you presented with a large seating area and high stool seating on your left and a bar on your right. Milk was being steamed from the coffee machine when I entered and it reminded me that the coffee in Qantas lounges is always good.
Near the entrance are some magazine racks, close to the toilets which were in a large space and absolutely spotless when I visited.

Through past the bar is the dining area which is larger than I expected. It starts with some seating and a dessert station and carries on to more seating, a live cooking station and a buffet section.

Past that was an entrance to the shower suites. There are 20 shower suites available for those looking to freshen up although I didn’t use them on my visit.
I couldn’t see a business centre but there were ample places to sit and work and the wifi was good. The only downside I found was the lack of plug sockets. I managed to find some near a lounge chair but it wasn’t the comfiest to work. Either bring a fully charged laptop, or sit in an uncomfortable place to work.
There is also a lot of natural light with the lounge having large floor to ceiling windows along one side. With a staffed bar and ample food choices, it is a well equipped lounge for your stay despite there being nothing that is over the top wow.

Seating in the Qantas Business Lounge, Singapore Changi
There was plenty of seating and seating options in the Qantas lounge. Near the bar is some high top seating for those that want to work. There were some armchairs nearby.
Past that and close to some of the TV’s that were showing Australian Fox Sports, were rows of single lounge style armchairs that are great for solo travellers, couple or families. I liked the colour scheme and found the seats to be very comfy as well.

In the dining area were bench seats with large tables, wooden dining style seats and a large table top for communal style seating.
There were also some armchairs facing some of the windows that overlooked the terminal below.
I know I visited during some of the quieter hours, but there was an incredible amount of seating that will suit everybody. Even if it does get busy, I’m sure you will find somewhere to relax.

Let's make it happen →Food and drink in the Qantas Business Lounge, Singapore Changi
The food and drink in the Qantas lounge really stood out.
Starting with the food, I was there when they offered all day dining which had a distinctly Australian twang to it. I started off with a butter chicken (which obviously wasn’t Australian!) but I had it with roasted vegetables which included zuchini and squash. Both the chicken and vegetables were excellent. There was a vegetarian fried noodle for those that don’t eat meat.

I knew it would be a long day of eating so I paced myself. There was a salad bar that had a coleslaw, a broccoli salad and a few other options and the broccoli salad was also tasty.

Dessert was incredible. The options were a chocolate crunch, a creme caramel, chocolate mousse with strawberry and a strawberry cheesecake. I don’t have a sweet tooth but I couldn’t decide what to go for. In the name of research for this blog, I went for all of them! If I had to choose another to go back for seconds, it would be the chocolate strawberry mouse that was in the shot glass, but I could easily have them all again.

There was also a live cooking station had the option of smokey BBQ ribs or a fish laksa for a taste of Singapore but I didn’t have the appetite to have those.
The drink options were also excellent. The staffed bar was great with cocktails, draft beer on tap and the option to make barista style coffee that Australia is known for. They had one of my favourite beers on tap, Little Creatures from Perth, so I enjoyed a glass of that.

As I was in Singapore, I also had a Singapore Sling (or Qantas Sling as it said on the menu) that was also very very good.

Near the food, there were self service options of three white wines, two rose, three red wines and a prosecco but no champagne. There was a mix of Australian and foreign wine.

Overall, the food and drink in the Qantas lounge was superb. You won’t be going hungry in this lounge and you won’t be leaving thirsty either.
Overall thoughts
Overall this is an excellent lounge. The bar and live cooking station gives it a distinctly premium feel. There is a lot of seating all over the lounge and it is a lot bigger than I was expecting, however it makes sense condsidering the number of Qantas flights that depart per day.
I also enjoyed the ambient background music that made me feel like I was in a very relaxed cocktail bar. It really is a pleasant space to spend a few hours.
The food and wine choices were excellent as were the drinks. I didn’t use the showers but understand they can get busy at popular times. The only negative were the lack of plug sockets and proper space to work, but this is minor in the scheme of things. It is a place to relax and enjoy instead of work.
