I've been there and done it.

I started travelling as a budget backpacker in 2015 with no plan, working it out with a Lonely Planet guide as I went. Since then I've travelled at every budget and style imaginable: rushed through countries in a week, slow-travelled others for months, saved up my money for trips, worked remotely through them, and taken working holidays.

I've flown first class, business class, and plenty of economy. I've sat on rickety buses and spent nights on cramped sleeper trains. Whatever your budget, whatever your trip looks like, I've probably done it.

Over the years I've had many people ask me for advice on where to go and what to see, and even more ask how I travel so much and how I decide my destinations. I've appeared on podcasts and in print media, and made this blog to help fellow travellers with unique stories from my adventures.

But why should you really trust me?

How far in advance of my trip should we talk?

As far in advance as possible. Talk to me while you're still in the planning stages and you'll get more benefit from the call, with more time to put the plan into action and avoid mistakes.

If you want to talk general travel topics, remote work, or airline points, that can be done at any time.

What destinations do you specialise in?

I'm happy to talk about any of the 80+ countries I've been to. I have deeper knowledge in the ones I especially love and have spent a lot of time in, including Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Slovenia, Estonia, Oman, Albania and the UK, among others.

Are there any destinations you don't advise on?

I won't give in-depth advice on a country I haven't been to, but I'm happy to discuss general travel trends or places to go. Just because I haven't been somewhere doesn't mean I haven't already researched my own trip there.

How does the call work?

We talk over Google Meet at the agreed time. We'll spend the start of the call getting to know exactly what you want to know before formulating an in-depth plan for your travels.

At the end of the call, you'll have 24 hours for any follow-up questions. I'll then send everything we discussed in an easy-to-understand guide.

Do you plan itineraries?

I'm more than happy to discuss broad itineraries for any region or country you're visiting. It's what I'm here for. That said, I love the spontaneity of travel and won't hand you a minute-by-minute plan telling you where to get breakfast and what time to reach the museum.

Do you make the bookings for me?

No. I don't make any bookings, but I can send you links to hotels, tours or websites for you to book yourself.

Can I reschedule?

Yes, you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your call.
